Day 2 of racing brought another picture-perfect day on the water, with clear skies, strong sun, and steady breeze echoing the spectacular conditions of June 4th. The sailors took full advantage of the weather, battling it out through the second Round Robin with intensity and skill.
As the results rolled in, the leaderboard took shape. Nicole Breault (USA) continued her commanding performance, topping the standings with a 12-2 record. Close behind, Anna Östling (SWE) held strong at 11-3, with Allie Blecher (USA) rounding out the top three.
The racing was tight across the board, and every point counted. Juliet Costanzo (AUS) clinched a spot in the semifinals with a hard-fought final race of the day.
“The last race was a close one,” said Costanzo. “After a long day of racing and a few errors on our side, we were able to pull it together to keep our lead in the last race, and we are delighted to get through to the semis. We left a lot out on the racecourse, so we are looking forward to getting back at it tomorrow!”
The stage is now set for Friday’s semifinals, with pairings to be announced at the morning skippers briefing. The remaining teams will sail for final placements in what promises to be another thrilling day of match racing action.
