Sandy is from Annapolis, MD, a certified software developer with NASA's Goddard Space Center. She and her all-Annapolis team are sailing in their seventh BoatU.S. Santa Maria Cup. In 1998, she placed third in the Osprey Cup in St. Petersburg, FL. A US SAILING Certified judge, principal race officer and umpire, she placed 9th in the BoatU.S. Santa Maria Cup last year.

Betsy Alison

From Newport, RI, Betsy is the only five-time Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year, is a three-time U.S. Women's National Sailing champion, three-time U.S. Women's single-handed champion, and was selected twice by the U.S. Olympic Committee as the U.S. Amateur Athlete in Sailing. In 1999, she placed second in the ISAF Women's Match Race World Championship and in 2000, she won the BoatU.S. Santa Maria Cup, which she also won in 1997.

Paula Lewin

Paula is from Warwick, Bermuda. In 1998, she won the BoatU.S. Santa Maria Cup, the Reed & Barton Cup and the Osprey Cup, and placed 5th in the World Championship. She placed 14th in the Europe Dinghy Competition in the Atlanta Olympics and last year finished 8th in the Women's Match Race World Championship and 2nd place in the BoatU.S. Santa Maria Cup.

Marie Klok

From Denmark, she started Match racing in 1994 and has been a strong competitor ever since, creating Denmark's first all-female Match Race team. She placed 3rd in the Rita Cup, first in the unofficial Danish Match Racing for Women and was selected as the female entry from Denmark for the 1995 Nation's Cup. Last year in the BoatU.S. Santa Maria Cup she tied for 5th with Dawn Riley and Cory Sertl.

Dawn Riley

Hailng from San Francisco, CA, this winner of the 1999 BoatU.S. Santa Maria Cup with a crew that had never before raced together, she also won the event in 1992. The first woman to head an America's Cup syndicate, America True, she and her team astonished the experts by almost making it to the semi-finals of the event. She was also team captain of America3 , The Women's Team, in the 1995 America's Cup and pitman for America3, winner of the 1992 America's Cup.

Cory Sertl

Cory is from Rochester, NY. She was Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year, has won the Adams Cup twice, and was a member of the 1998 U.S. Olympic Sailing Team. Last year she finished 5th in the BoatU.S. Santa Maria Cup tied with Dawn Riley and Marie Klok.

Giulia Conti

Just fifteen years old, Giulia finished second in the 1998 and the first in the 1999 European Optimist Championships. She has begun sailing in the Europe Class aiming to qualify for Athens 2004. Invited as a wild card at a grade one match race,she reached the petit final.
